Default Interior Question

I was wondering where the best place is to get one of the fiberboards that line each side of the center console; the ones that have carpet over them. One of mine is cracked so the carpet won't dit snug under the console. Any suggestions??

Call Corvette America 1-800-458-3475. I think the pair goes for 29 bucks.

Where do you live in Minnesota? Try Corvette specalites in Blaine, 763-784-8577. Bill

I'm near St Cloud, so it's not all that far from Blaine. I'll give them a call and see what they want for the set, so I can see how close they are to Corvette America, thanks!

Try Wilcox as well. They've always beat most of the parts houses for me.

I made some fiber board replacements for my restoration out of Pylon brand 1/32" plywood from a local hobby shop. It doesn't pull out, warp and crack like the fiber board and the screws won't pop through. It's not original, but it works great!

And, the ones you buy never fit right--not even close----it's the strangest thing.

I noticed the originals have a slight curve to them through the center, the plywood will bend like that also?

It bends and flexes a lot better than the 1/4" fiber does. It's thinner, so it fits a lot closer to the carpet on the console. You can wet a spot that you want to bend and get a permanent bend in that spot.
