Default Front clip removal on 72 Vette

The front clip cracks on my 72 that have been fixed in the past but are coming back and I want to replace the whole front clip with new fiberglass. How do I remove the front clip fiberglass so I can replace it with a fresh new fiberglass front clip? Who makes a quality one piece replacement clip for a 1972 Corvette?

I'd recommend the Eckler's book on Fiberglass Repair - that's a big job, with lots of pitfalls, and the old clip has to be removed very carefully or you get to do a LOT more work.

For complete front clip see The Corvette Image, Gresham, Oregon, 503-492-0164. I installed their unit on my 69 roadster and it was great. They make press molded parts that are not cheap, but the best. I understand he makes the parts for other vendors like Eckler's.

Where are the cracks? If repaired correctly they should not reappear. Replacing the front clip is going to be expensive. If the car is mostly original, I would look for a original clip for a replacement, if thats the way you go.

I agree with fixing the original one, some of the replacements are not as good of quality. BORDERBUM
