Finding original owner

Hi,

I'd like to know if anyone has any suggestions/ideas about locating the original owner of my car. It would be cool to send some pics etc to the original owner. The car is a 1973 Stingray and it is now in New Zealand. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

One way is to track it backwards one owner at a time. If you know where it was last registered in the US there is a web site that has all the phone num,bers and web sites for most state Departments of Motor Vehicles. Do an internet search and you shopuld find it pretty easy.

Unfortunately most DMV's won't release info due to privacy laws. Those that do only go back a couple of years. I live in NY and have tried with no success to track the ownership of my car which has been in NY since at least 1977.
