Most any auto parts store has them for under $20. It makes the job a snap.
You can get the snap ring back on without it, but you almost need 4 hands to do so.
Steering colum "BIG PROBLEM!!!"
The idiot that i am, i took my steering colum apart. Im having a problem getting the retaining clip that holds the canceling cam in place. the tech manual tells to use a spring compressor to push it down in order to get the c-clip back in, but i have no idea what that is.
Can anyone help me???

You can make that tool from bar stock and thread stock available at home depot for about 5-6 bucks.. Go to Corvettefaq.com and look under 'steering' for instructions and materials list.. I did this and it worked great..
Check Autozone...they have a "Loan-A-Tool" program
