Just a quick question, but say you buy a frame, what kind of work would it be to put it in the Vette? Would you have to take the whole body off? Because, don't Vettes just have a "one-piece" frame? Can somebody enlighten me?

    Thanks!

It would be ALOT of work! And yeah you'll have to remove the whole body and just about everthing inside of it. Kinda like if you were going to change the concrete from the bottom of your house.

Yes Corvettes do have a singe from not like the 1st gen camaros that have a front subrame connected to a unibody.

I am suprised these C3's don't weigh more than 3400lbs with the single frames. I thought they would be much heavier i.e. Chevelles.

Hijinx, didn't you say before that your frame is rusted? Sound like a big job to put in another one.

Good luck if you do it, though.

Yea, I know it would be a huge job (I've done it before). Mainly, with all I have put into my '73 I will probably want to do this at some point. That's why I am interested.

    Hijinx,
If you need a frame I have a straight solid one from a '76.

    Mike,
I'd be interested. I do not need it yet, but my frame is rusted to death in the rear. If I want to get it all back solid, I'll have to replace the frame at some point. What are you thinking about on price?

    speaking of...
i'm gonna be changin the frame come spring time ( well ok not me but my brother, i'm just gonna be there for the beer runs ) right now the old frame has a noticeable crack in the front and besides it sounds like it's gonna be tons of fun to change it and then put everything back together.
