Vette sits lower on left rear

I know I need new shocks but should my 1982 sit lower on the left than on the right.Has 51k miles (pretty shure)heavy duty springs.Fe7 Bolts up all the way.Rides hard.Replace shocks or both.Is the a measurement from the floor the the center wheel wheel,To confirm.Replace with 7 leaf or 9 leaf for softer ride,I drive very mellow and what shocks recommended Thanks everyone.

You can't measure the ride height from any part of the body. It won't be accurate.

The only proper way to measure ride height is the method listed in the service manual.

Once you do that, then you can determine if the "unevenness" is a function of suspension problems, a bent frame, faulty body mounting or (if the car has been in a previous collision) faulty body repair.

Assembly Instruction Manual..

I have an 82 also sat 1.5" higher in back passenger corner replaced rear spring had a broken bolt but the problem was a weak driver side front spring causing the car to tilt. Based on my problem i would point you to the front springs first.
