Rally Wheel Caps
Anyone have any ideas on repainting the black portion on the rally cap? How about taping off the top and bottom, spraying the painted portion and using a scotch brite to take the paint off the center ribs?

Try this one on for size. As soon as you paint them, dip Q-tips in thinner and wring them out by rolling them on a paper towel or rag. Next very carefully run the Q-tips along each rib. This will take a very steady hand. It would probably be a good idea to have the caps clamped down or held still somehow to make it a little more steady.
I was shown this trick for use with the interior center shifter area of the console. It seems like it would work for the center caps too.

Thanks 71Shark
That sounds like it would work. If it's warm enough this weekend, I'll let you know how it turned out.
