Default 75 window handle: Original vs. Reproduction

I ordered a new reproduction window crank for my 75 and discovered that it differs slightly from the original, the difference is enough that it won't stay on the regulator shaft. Though it looks the same cosmetically, there is a difference where the handle slides over the regulator shaft. I've attached a photo which shows the differences. Has anyone experienced the same problem? If so, how did you overcome it?

Who did you get it from? I replaced the window crank in my 75 with one I got from Ecklers and haven't had any problem? If you got it elsewhere maybe you need to send it back?

I got it from Corvette America so long ago (it's been sitting on the shelf waiting to be installed) I'm sure they won't take it back. However I have looked at two others from different suppliers that have the same problem as the one from Corvette America. It's really wierd how you can see a definate difference between the two handles.

Is it the repro handle or the mickey mouse clip?

Good question about the clip. I used both clips with the original handle and it worked fine. I used both clips with the reproduction handle and it didn't work with either. Well actually it held the handle on but because of the position of the cutout for the clip the teeth on the handle would't stay engaged with the teeth on the regulator shaft. If you look closely at the photos you can see the difference between the two handles.

I've talked to so many people that have used the repro's without a problem I can't figure it out. It's clear in the photos that the handles are different.
