For those of you with 1980 L-48's WITH a 4 speed...

Do you know if your car came factory with an Air pump? Looking at a 1980 4 speed. It has a pulley on the water pump for it but no pump. All the pics I have seen are of Auto's. This car still has the factory air cleaner with the little black snorkels that connect to the black air intake resonator on the radiator support but no smog pump. Owner states the previous owner put an Edelbrock intake on it but still has the Quadrajet... Car IS an export car as the odometer reads in Km/h instead of Mp/h, but my gut tells me the smog stuff got removed... opinions welcome!

I believe they did come with an AIR pump- here's some pics of one

being an 'export' model to Canada or elsewhere would have made no difference. There was no 'smog delete' option.

All 80s had AIR; all of the speedos show MPH and KPH.

I didn't realize they made two. Mine is exactly opposite of yours - MPH over KPH.

Haven't bought it... looking at it but don't think it's a candidate.. I really would rather have a car with good history to it.. ie; documentation etc.. Needs a apint job ( which I can do myself) but has floor rot and a some engine oil and coolant leaks...
