    Default headers and sidepipes

Here are pictures of the headers and sidepipes I mentioned earlier last month. I hope you can open these pictures. If not e-mail me and I will send direct.

400.00 and you pay shipping. Headers sidepipes covers and hardware. Headers are stainless blockhugger from street and performance. Pipes are stainless. Covers are fiberglass. Have been painted and have a burnt edge on bottom where they were allowed to rub the sidepipes. I believe copdog has first dibs.

What connects the sidepipes to the headers? Have the headers never been used, and the connecting pipe must be fabricated?

Mike, IMHO, looks like you'll need a collector with a 90deg bend the just a muffler shop to make the connector pipes. wish i had those headers before i started my sidepipe install. would have definately been easier...

There are collectors that fit the headers and then yes you will have your local muffler shop fabricate the hookups. When I bought them they had came off of a 76. Whoever fabricated them for the 76 did a poor job and let the covers rub the side pipes. This caused the bottom edge of each cover to be scorched. Also there can be variances from car to car in the way the engine mounts set in the frame. Not much but enough that I had to cut the pipes loose from the original welds for the 76 and install some flex pipe with the intent to taking to the muffler shop. That is when I decided I did not like the loudness of the pipes being in my ear and I went with just straight duals. hope that explains some of the life of these pipes and headers.

    jetmech,

I just got a quick look at the pictures. Are all the hangers with the pipes? Also can you give me an idea of shippping cost? I'm in Washington State, zip is 98569. If the shipping isn't to bad i'll take them. I'm going to be out of town for a couple of days and will get back with you as soon as I get back.

I think those will look real good on my 78.
