Do you have any idea what a original gm (not the reproduction one that was un authorized by gm) 65/66 dual circut master cylenders pricing is today? Well I can tell you when I was shopping for one I heard of 2 cores at august corvettes of carlilse both of which by the time I found the booth were sold one went for 675.00 and the other was 725.00.these were cores with no screw in caps thet needed to be rebuilt.
I finally found one rebuilt and paid 850.00 for it and was happy with the price.I had a online add running for one for about 18 months some one last month emailed me that they had one N.O.S. in the original GM box and there asking price was 1200.00 plus shipping
If I was to have it rebuilt I would make sure I was using a highley recomened company and with an endorsement as john has given white post I would definatley use them with the understanding they would rebuild yours and send you back your.
If you dont want the original style master cylender then sell it as a core and put that money to other improvements on the car you could easley get a replacement master cylender for about 100.00 whitch is less then what youll pay to have yours rebuilt .Good luck and welcome abourd
