Default Help needed- Fuel tank sender resistance needed

I blew my aftermarket fuel gauge and am going to replace it but need to know the OHM load from the fuel tank sending unit. Does anyone know that little tidbit of information???
    Thanks in advance.

The midyear fuel gauge sending unit range is 0-90 ohms, but you can't use it with an aftermarket fuel gauge; the midyear fuel gauge circuit is a unique 2-wire powered voltage-divider design, never used on any other GM car - a failed 5-year experiment, if you will. Aftermarket fuel gauges all use the industry-standard single-wire through a resistor to ground circuit; you'll have to use either an aftermarket sending unit, or a '68 Corvette sending unit.

I have a C3 sending unit that I will use. I just need to get around to draining the tank and changing sending units and install new gauge.
    Thank you John
