Own a Vette ... Become a VIP
True story. I was recently in NJ checking on some rental property. While at the rental agency, one of the agency brokers approached me and asked if I was with the Baltimore Ravens management team. Now, I am a season ticket holder, but certainly not part of the teams management chain. I looked a bit perplexed, so the broker told me he had seen the "Ravens" sticker on the car (see picture) and figured I was with the Ravens because he had heard a rumor that someone in the team management was looking to buy property. I guess driving a Vette indicates prosperity. Not one to shy away from some spin doctoring, I informed him that while I was with the Ravens, I was not the one interested in purchasing property. I did get first class treatment from the broker because he actually thought I was an NFL VIP. He was an avid Eagles fan so I had to do some tap dancing to make my spin believeable. It was a real hoot pulling this guy's leg a bit ... and I got a free pen and fridge magnet for my visit.

While I've never been mistaken for a celebrity of any kind, I do feel like a VIP when driving a Corvette.
