Do you mean Corvette Central acts as a customs broker when shipping parts into Canada? Do they charge brokerage fees? Are their fees more economical than courier companies??

Hey Mac, this is the info on their website no mention of fees and I don't have anything to compare other companies with. but with the loonie the way it is I think now is as good a time to order some restoration parts for the old girl( full interior, suspension, LS7 ya right) I originally came across this info from Bob( 67heaven) so maybe he's got it figured out already, I read somewhere that he's looking for a sister for heaven so a parts stock pile may be already started.

--Canada-Corvette Central ships to Canada via UPS exclusively. We have entered into an arrangement to act as an agent of the Canadian government in order to collect all duties, taxes and brokerage when your order is processed. We will then remit all collected monies to the appropriate government entities. This allows you to know the total cost of your order to be delivered to your door, at the time your order is placed. There are no hidden charges! The exception to this program is Prince Edward Island. Orders shipping to this province will be processed through a Canadian brokerage house as in past.--

Most of the couriers pretend to act as brokers but what they really do is subcontract the brokerage and tag the subcontractor's fees on top. It's simply a matter of knowing the right paperwork to file. It's good of CC to do so!
