Today I went to start the 86 vette and nothing no turn over of engine etc. This has happened once before with the door open and I thought well maybe the door was causing the problem. Not so still didn't start. Waited about 10 min everything was good. Now same thing again battery indicator says 14.1 volts when running, farted around again with car and started about 10 min later again.
What would cause this? It is like no juice to kick motor or even drag the starter something electrical PLEASE HELP, I don't want to get stranded far from home.
does the starter ''click'' when ign key is turned to ''start'' position ??... if yes, starter solenoid is sick...if no click, remove battery terminals, clean with wire brush and reinstall...still no click, prolly ''vats'' malf.
