My Corvette(s):
Default swap early c4 front spindle for late c4

just joined this site so I'm looking for some noob sympathy.
I will disclose right now that this question concerns a custom installation
of a c4 front suspension on my 68 camaro.
what I have is an early c4 front suspension, 86 to be exact. I have learned
that big brake options for the earlys is very limited in comparison to the lates.
I am considering swapping out the early knuckles/spindles with later c4
pieces while retaining the early control arms. I am not using the abs and the
placement of the steering arm is something I can workout later.
it is the late c4 brake bracket mount point that I need for the brake kit that
I am planning to use, wilwood 13" six piston yadayada.
I mostly need to know if these knuckles are the same height and rotate about
the same axis ball joint to ball joint.
any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Don't hold my hand in the fire over this but, I think if you want the big brakes on your early spindles all you have to do is get the "halo" (the part the caliper mounts to) and the rest of the pieces from a J55 (13" rotor option) car. Which includes any 95-96 or an earlier model year with the option (probably the cheapest way). Or you can do a C5 conversion kit. I really don't think that you have to change the spindles out.

OK, I just finished reading your ppost and see where you are using Wilwoods, but I am still not sure you have to change the spindle. Hopefully someone who has actually done this will chime in here to verify.
