Default corvette stamps?

LINK

I have no clue if they're worth it or not, did a quick web search and still couldn't figure it out.

Anyways...if someones interested, there it is, make sure it's worth what the seller says before buying it.

Kind of posting as much out of curiousity to see if someone out there knows what they're actually worth...I'm doubtful that they're worth fifty bucks but like I said...clueless here.

That guy should do a quick eBay search first. Many Corvette stamps have been issued by other countries including the '53 vette in the Sporty Cars of the 50s issue of the US.

To cut the story short it is not likely at all they are worth $50. I am a collector and have been for 30 years but my specialty is US stamps and postal cards.

But like any other collectible they are worth what someone will pay for them. I would imagine that you could get them cheaper from a stamp dealer who has them in stock.

I'm not a collector or anything, I just stumbled in here, but I find it interesting that the seller says "These are the ONLY Corvette stamps ever made."

A quick google image search of ""St. Vincent" corvette stamp" turned up this...

and this...

and this...

And an article in Corvette Fever about Corvette stamps including links.

A quick search at carstamps.com shows 40 items found for "Corvette", the most expensive being a $10.95 set depicting Micky Mouse behind the wheel of a '53.

So yeah, that's more than I'll ever actually need to know about Corvette stamps.

I would definitely say they aren't worth $50 yet.

Default stamps

I have a set of 4 Vette stamps from Bequia, the Grenadines of St Vincent, all marked $2.00. My wife got them for me and they have a 50th Edition white modded Vette in the surrounding area of the sheet, and a GM trademark logo in the upper left corner. My wife got them for like $1.50 in a mail away deal she saw in a magazine. Then came a bunch more stamps "for sale on approval," which I quickly sent back. It was a gimmick to get you into their mailing list. Anyway, the ones portrayed are definitely not the "only" Corvette stamps issued. As was mentioned by someone else, the US issued "Sporty Cars of the 50's" featured a 53 Vette, and those stamps were 37 cents each. They are no longer available from the USPS since stamps have gone up. I still have the oversized 53 stamp copy that came with the sheet stuck on another picture in my office.
