Default Actual width of C4 including mirrors

Width specifications for a 1989 are posted on this site as 71 inches. Looking for a C4 owner to verify for me the actual width including mirrors (outside mirror edge to outside mirror edge).

Ok, I had a chance to go out and do a measurement for you. My '94 from outside of the mirror to the outside of the other mirror is 74 1/4".

Tom, Thank you for checking. This really helps. Trying to determine if a C4 could fit in my garage. Mirror overhang calculates out to just under 2" on each side, (74.25" - 71") / 2 = 1.625".

How wide is your garage door? I think the standard single door size is 7' (84").

Jrzvette,
The issue is that the back of my garage narrows because the kitchen extends into the garage space. The front garage door width will not be an issue. Based on the measurement with mirrors Tom provided, it will fit with a little room on each side. Plus, the garage is wider at the point the driver's door would open.

A true Corvette enthusiast would demolish part of the kitchen rather than risk damaging his car.

Purchased a 1989 with 56K over the weekend, and it fits in the garage. Nice stock vette that just needs a little care and a few dollars. Spent today changing the oil/filter and cleaning all the stuff like leaves and candy wrappers that were trapped ibetween the radiator and condenser. These bottom feeders sure like to keep the streets clean. Hope to get plates and inspection this week so I can enjoy it before the snow starts.

Once you get it in there, can you open the door or do you go through the targa and slide down the hood? Don't wear short shorts, you will squeeeeek all the way down, might get a little chapped.
