Default What a Great Day!

I took the Vette out today starting at 8:30 am. The weather has been excellent, a bit crisp in the morning, low hunmidity, and not a could in sight. Had the top down and spent all day cruising, stopping by to see old buddies, did some errands, etc.

Last week I installed the Pertronix Ignitor II and Flame Thrower II coil. It was a simple process... It took about an hour and started right up. WHAT A DIFFEFRENCE! The performance improvement is amazing! Strange, but with the 45,000 volt coil, you would think that the engine would run hotter -- but it's the opposite. It's actually running cooler. I never thought that switching from the points ignition system could make that much of a difference.

Anyway, I was able to drive again today without the crazy idle fluctuations, etc., and yes indeed today was a gentle reminder of how great it can be to own a Vette!

Ralph

Great to hear, Ralph. Both your classics are very nice. This was a perfect weekend for cruising. I'm doing some work on mine so not out this weekend.

Always nice when things actually work even better than expected for a change isn't it! Looks real good!

Yeah the weather has been great up here too, I drove the the beach in Rhode Island last weekend and this weekend also........even left the tops at home 80 miles away! Get it while we can I guess!
