Lost Corvette

Hi all, It has been a long time since I posted here. The vette has been on hold for over a year while the wife and I build our house. Well we are almost done and that means the garage will be coming next.

So now to my question, I used to have a picture of a silver C3 corvette with a uniques racing stripe design. The car had the big block hood. The racing stripe was a single thick stripe with a single pinstripe on either side running front to back. The large stripe ended in the recess of the big block hood cowl and the pin stripes joined at the front of the big block cowl. Has anyone seen this design? If so do you ave a picture, It was one of the best looking stripe jobs I have seen on a vette and I would love to find another picture. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like a Baldwin-Motion Corvette to me. Stripes and hood scoops varied on the Baldwin-Motion cars. This one has a '67 stinger added.

Yeah, that is pretty close. You are right, the hood is different, but the design is very similar. The car I saw was silver metalic with a black stripe. Thanks for the photo it will at least get me close.

Headlights are old Datsun 240 Z. I've always liked the look. When these were popular, there was an aftermarket provider who made plexiglass covers for them.

Mike, I did that. No luck on the exact car or even a silver one, but this will allow me to show something close when I get the car ready for paint.
