1957 "Dealer Promo Shell?" on '59 frame 4 sale/trade

Listed on Craigslist in Bay Area SF wish I could keep it but I am buying a house in CA.....very unusual set up here....1959 Corvette frame with rack and pinion front and Ford 9 inch narrowed rear. Project, project, project. Not for the faint of heart needs lots of money and time invested but being a Caroholic I could not resist the trade........Will give details for any interested parties would consider trade for nice pick up as new house is a fixer........tks Mic

Hi Mic,

Is this the same shell that was being asked about on the NCRS Tech Board? It was my opinion that it was a retail store prop and not a GM item? I have seen these in clothing stores on light tube frames that just support the shell and wheels.

tks 4 the info I believe that is a possibility for sure.......Although I have heard that there were dealership promos of 400 made and have been unable to confirm or deny that rumor...also someone said they saw a "Corvette prop" on "American Bandstand" anyone know anything about that?? tks in advance for any info Mic@ car0holic.com
