Default Binding Sound in Reverse

I am thinking this is a function of the limited slip, but when I back up and turn at the same time, hear and feel a binding or slight clunking coming from the rear end. Is this a normal sound/occurance? Thanks.

HI there,
Not normal.
Please check the TSB section of this forum and you will find one for a lubricant change.
Allthebest, c4c5

Had mine done this week. They flushed and added slippery additive to the differential. Then they take it and run a few figure 8s to get it into all the gears.

Chieftam, How many miles on the vehicle? Clutch chatter/bind usually occurs in both forward/reverse, but with the ole' Vette, one never knows. I see where they are recommending 2 bottles of additive now. I had the same problem with my 71, when it got hot, it chattered, changing the lube cured it. Use only GM lubes and additives........................just my .02

I only have 7,000 miles on the car, I had the fix done, but picked it up, drove it 30 miles home, put it in the garage, and left on a trip, so I haven't had time to reverse it much and see if it is fixed. I will take it out this week and make sure.
