The mythical 1990 ZR-1
Default Location: Cleveland, Ohio - Wed June 25 - Fri June 27

We are looking to have our fifth annual CruiseFest 2008 in Cleveland, Ohio.

We'd like to hold the event during a time of year that would be the most convenient for members and not conflict with other national Corvette events going on around the country.

SO - we want your input. Cast your vote in the poll and let us know what month would be the best for you!

I'm all for the last week in June. I think having it early in the 'season' fir dem northerns is a nice kick off to the summer.

That's me too...I thought timing this year for it was great! Then again...other than the Kansas drive, I thought pretty much everything about it this year was great!

Default August

I'm kinda thinking August. I realize it may be stinking hot, but I would love to see Carlisle at least once, and an Ohio Cruisefest that I could combine with the Carlisle event would be ideal for me, and hopefully, others as well. My .02, but I will "go with the flow".

Knowledge of any other events that may coincide with Cruisefest enroute or return would be helpful. I like all cars, the events Bossvette seems to find look pretty cool, too.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts on the matter. Have a great day!

Rick

I would prefer middle-late June, heck even early June. School gets out in late May and I usually have to be back by middle of August (tomorrow August 15th is my first day back), so I would miss it if it were too late.

I understand where RodsnRides is coming from and I would love to hit Carlisle, but it isn't going to happen until I retire.

I imagine that would be a problem for a lot of folks before June or after July...having kids in school.

Whenever it happens to fall....gonna plan on cruisin out to Cleveland!

May... You can just about guarantee rain
June...not a whole lot different than May until you approach the end of June
July...not that hot, but still possibility of rain, but scattered and not for usually more than a single day
August...warm/hot, relatively dry all month.

I'd suggest end of July. OR....since July 4th falls on a Friday in 2008, that could make for a fun midweek/weekend gathering since people would already have off for the 4th...

After reading these two lines, I half expected you to vote for May or early June.

I voted for June but the weekend of the 4th would be great too.
