Default 2007 Fall Dragon Run OCT 18th-21st

I will update this first post in this thread with any new information as it comes available. Check into this thread so you can get updates as they come up and I'll add your name to the list of who to expect to be here!

HOTEL INFORMATION

Holiday Inn Express
130 Associates Blvd
Alcoa TN 37701
Front Desk# 1 865 981 9008

This is the same hotel we used in the spring. So that you'll know if you were not here then, they have a very nice little breakfast area set up in the hotel.

When you call to make reservations, tell them that you are with the Corvette Action Center which is staying from October 18-21st, they should give you a discounted rate which for the base rooms starting price should be 71.99. They will hold a block of 14 rooms for us until October 1st, after that they will be opened back to the public so make sure you have your room reserved before Oct 1st! Also if you require a smoking room, then you will need to ask for this, as the block of rooms we're being given I was told is a non smoking section.

Here's what I have in mind for the trip.

Thursday Oct 18th - arrival meet n greet dinner. For anyone that did not make it in the spring, there are three nice restaurants surrounding the hotel which we can choose from.

Friday Oct 19th - Dragon run and the loop around the Cherokee National Forest.

Saturday Oct 20th - Dragon run and continue down highway 28 and 64 to a couple of waterfalls. While not as tight cornered as the dragon, these highways are still filled with plenty of nice sweeping curves that should be a lot of fun to drive.

Sunday Oct 21st - Farewell breakfast and heading home. If you plan to be up and heading home while the moon's still shining bright, make sure you say your goodbyes ahead of time!

Any questions speak up or forever hold your pea's, and let me know if you have any idea's or post pictures into the T-shirt thread if you want to have any input into that!

Count us in... we'll have to figure out babysitting of course, and how to get the kids to and from school on Friday... but count us in. We'll figure out something.

Looking forward to seeing everyone and looking forward to meeting you, Scott.

Hey good idea, I see you are just north of Cincy, and me coming from Mt. Vernon is a piece of cake. Just tell me when and where and I will be there, sounds like a plan to me. I am ready to roll alreadyScott

Hey Dwayne, a little rain on the Dragon just makes it interesting. And keeps the bikes away. No excuses!
