Let me call a friend that's a councilman tomorrow and find out the hotel/motel and beach situation here in Gulfport. I know some of the casinos are back up and running, and so I assume are their hotels. I think the HardRock casino just re-opened recently too. Casino hotels are about the only thing rebuilt on the beaches. Those thousands of smaller motels and chains are all gone, except inland.

I don't know about Daulphin Island Alabama but that was a nice vacation spot pre-Katrina.

Depends on what your looking for. If you like whats left of what I would call the old Florida there is still some of that left on St George Island, Appalachacola, St Joe, Mexico Beach. Want something more upscale maybe a high rise condo over looking some beautiful beaches more things to do, then Panama City Beach would be a good choice. Don't want a high rise but still beautiful beaches less things to do Rosemary Beach or Seaside. After that Destin/Ft Walton. Again high rise condo nice beach lots to do. If you want gambling then Biloxi. After the second week of August it gets dead around here till Labor day so there are lots of brand new condos lookin to put somebody in them so shop around. If you decide on PCB and want an opinion on a place your looking at. I've been in alot of them.
