I'm surprised a bit that things fell into place for me to be able to make it out there...I'm sure there's a lot of people who'll be there just in spirit, hopefully I'll have a nice collection of pic's when I return to share the trip with you!
I plan on going to the NCM Anniversary affair.
See you there! :beer
Paula and I and BudMan are planning on going to the NCM Anniversary affair.

We'll be there. There are six or seven cars from our club making the trip.
We have a couple non-anniversay cars coming. I figure a one owner '66 big block is welcome at any Corvette gathering.:)
We're staying at the hotel across the street from the musuem. Look for the MN plates and say Hi.:m

The 50th Registry has a block of rooms at the Hampton Inn. That's where the meet and greet is going to be on Thursday night.:beer

Hey Gry Ghst, I thought you guys were gonna be there also? I looked for ya but didn't find you.
It POORED cats, dogs, kitchen sinks, and a couple of water falls Sat. afternoon. I don't know if I've ever driven through a harder rain storm on the way home.
It was a good time though, until the trip home. LOL
Will (the corvette plant's manager) brought an '08 Z06 in the new blue color. All I can say is SWEEEEEET!!! It had a carbon fiber console in it. And stupid me, I didn't even take any pictures of it. :duh

The following is from The National Corvette Museum:
Corvette Assembly Plant News
http://www.corvettemuseum.com/enews/images/plant2-lg.jpg The Corvette Assembly Plant will begin building the 2008 model during the week of June 25 and our NCM team is ready to schedule Corvette deliveries for the new model year!
If you are planning to schedule a tour of the Corvette Assembly Plant in the next few weeks, remember that the plant will be closed from June 29 through July 16.

I'm sorry I missed meeting up with some of you. I didn't see this message until today. We left on the 19th (Had to do some repair work at my daughter's in Chicago.) and just got back late yesterday. It was great fun and we were obviously there at the same time.
I have a great and unique souvenir. There was a celebrity choice car show on Saturday. I wasn't going to show my car because it's a driver, not a show car, but when I realized I had the only 35th Anniversary car there I decided to show it, so people could see the difference in the anniversay cars. The result was I came home with a NCM Celebrity Choice Award trophy. :)
Great pix! More- More!!

Sorry Jane Ann, that's all my fault. I was standing right beside one (an '08 Jetstream Blue Z06 no less) with the camera hanging around my neck and I didn't even take a picture.
:W :cry :crazy:bash ;help :hb :SLAP :duh :Buttslap :(

That's okay, John. Understandable even. If I was standing next to an '08 Z06 I'd probably forget I had a camera hanging around my neck too. :L

I wish I had seen this thread before I left. My lady and I were there. We had the only 76, bright blue, raised hood. I wish I could have met some of you and known who I was talking to. I was realy impressed with the 67 and the story behind it. Short version he sold his civil war collection that he had been building since he was a kid. Made enough to get the vette of his dreams, build it the way he wanted and had money left over. pretty cool. This was our first long trip. Minneapolis to Bowling Green and back. Not a single problem. 2600 miles all together and it averaged 18 MPG. Not bad for the old boy. The trp was a blast.

Hey Mark,
You know me.:w
Talk about being lucky. We got home late Wednesday afternoon with no problems at all. I went to back the car our of the garage last night and it wouldn't start. The battery had expired.
