Default In memorial to my wife

This is the anniversary of my wife’s death. Today I have changed my avatar to her picture. I have also donated to the Diabetes foundation as I will do each year in her name. I do not mourn her but I celebrate her life, and her freedom of that horrible disease. She was my wife for 10 years and way to short of a time. Nancy dear, you are loved, rest in peace.

Having lost my wife and companion of 20 years, almost 18 as husband and wife, I can only say what a nice gesture on your part grapeknutz. i would not wish this experience on anyone. My wife went quickly sometime between 5:05 and 5:12 AM. This was totally unexpected, so in that regard I would say she was fortunate not to have had to deal with diabetes. My dad, his sister and his mom had diabetes, their mother was blind for most of her life due to the diabetes.

My prayers and thoughts are with you and your wife, and also to a new start in our lives for both you and myself. I know my wife will always be a part of me, as she was by my side for over one-third of my adult life.

Howard

They shall not grow old as we that are left for old
Age will not weary them nor the years condemn
At the rising of the sun and the setting of the same
We will remember them
