Default On the Road Again

Havn't checked in for a while so here are a couple of pics from our travels. So far we have pitched up in Singapore, been to Indonesia and was up in Malaysia this weekend. Havn't seen any Vettes so far though. I have also found a new hobby, I have never been anywhere on my travels that has so many watch shops as Singapore, every corner you turn there is a watch shop.

More Later
J.

On the road again

A bit of tropical rainforest, definately worth saving

10 minutes from my apartment

Thanks for posting that while I am boat shopping.

I can half close my eyes and see my 12 meter Cat anchored just in front of your bar.

Unfortunately Singapore is not a very boat friendly place, there is a marina but you can't just sail up to a beach. There are some islands near by that are idylic but there are still a lot of pirates going about so you and your boat could part company in fairly short order !!!!!!

I have been interested in watches for quite a while and surprisingly in Singapore you are hard pressed to find any fake goods at all. It is a very regulated country and anybody caught at selling that sort of stuff is going to jail for a long time. This is the place that doesn't even let you have chewing gum.

Here is a few from my small collection

No problem with the sun tan and don't worry about the odd looking position I am in, that was just to much Tiger Beer

I have picked up a few watches over the years, just something I have been interested in since I was a kid. In Singapore there must be every kind of watch you can think of, and some you have never heard of, on sale.

Bigger is better, a couple of Frank Muller's that I saw

Default Time to move on again

My job in Singapore is done so it time to move on to the next part of the tour. Popped into Singapore airlines at the weekend and bought two tickets to Sydney, Austrialia where we will spend a couple of weeks before heading back to the UK.

Even better news is that after 20 or so years I will be heading back to work in Scotland at our headquarters in Edinburgh. Bizzare as it seems for a company that let me go no more that a year ago they want me back, I am off down the librery now to get a book on how to speak Scottish again

Watch out for more pictures.
