Default How much to replace an ignition - 1978

I am looking at a 1978 vette that has ignition damage. (attempted joyride).
Anyone have a ballpark idea?

Since the Expos left Montreal, we don't even have a ball park.

Can you be more descriptive with the extent of damage? Is it inside the car, engine compartment, wiring, baseball bat induced, etc................

Just went to see.... and bought the car.
1978 Corvette - Silver and Grey

I posted a picture on a different Thread "Finally bought a vette"

The thieves tried to break the steering column lock. "baseball bat induced"
the left side of the column is pretty much toast.
Drivers door lock cylinder is toast as well.

You might find a decent column for $300 and up. Labour to swap, rekey, etc another $300.

Looks like you did well at 5K CDN for the car!
