I'm poor, I have borrowed a friend's video camera for a few weeks for the purpose of making a handful of music videos.
One thing I would love to do is get some Corvette footage, of Corvettes driving around the city of Columbia, Missouri.
I would then use this footage, run it faster so the 'Vette's speed doubles or more, or slow the Vettes down, and put it to music.
(Also, any LEO's, I'd love to get a few segments of the Corvettes being either pursued or stopped. No real tickets, but make it look like the driver's getting one. Any idea how to arrange this?)
Ideally, I'd get groups containing one of each generation, or a bunch of Pace Cars & Special Editions.
And maybe even people could bring their video cameras, so we could have ones mounted in the 'Vettes and so forth.
Some of the songs I'm planning to use:
Drive - Theme from Hardcastle and McCormick
I Can't Drive 55 - David Lee Roth
She Drive's Like Crazy - Weird Al Yankovic
The One I Had Back Then - Not sure who it's buy, but it'd need a few C2's. :)
Riding with Private Malone - Also a C2 song.
Little Red Corvette - Prince (Okay, it's a song about a slutty girl, but it'd be fun to have a bunch of red Corvettes.) (Of course, my collection of (toy) Corvettes has a bunch of red Corvettes...and they're little...)
Deadman's Curve - Jan & Dean (C2's again...)
It's a Good Day (To Kick Somebody's Ass) - Some singing comedian, but I'd need one NICE Corvette for the end of the song. The rest could be any vehicle.
(The Corvette would not be damaged...but the "actors" would make it look like the "owner" was being damaged.)
I can't afford to pay anything for this. It'd just be something to do for fun, with no compensation. Then I'd work on the videos, and post them on Youtube, and e-mail copies to anyone involved. Also, plates would be covered or blurred.
I figure, a fun day of driving your Corvette, on curvy roads, and you (eventually) get an amature music video sent to you of your car...
So...if you'd like to participate, post here, or e-mail me directly at randomize27@yahoo.com and I'll start planning to do these with REAL Corvettes, otherwise, it's the toys....which would probably be funnier.
