After years of all white cars with blue and gold stripes, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are going retro.

I believe I've seen a similar paint scheme around here. I like it. Very business-like.

Nope. The covers are white but the strobes are red & blue. I love the retro look! I wouldn't mind if the Mounties went back to blue w. white doors!!

Actually, Mac, blue lights are reserved for snowplows in Ontario. Therefore, the strobes are red and white, and they're bright.

As to the Imperial margarine comment, we're proud of our association to "The Crown". I'm sure Her Majesty would be amused by Sharon's joke. ;)

Answer: Sgt. Peppers album cover.

There was an investigation at the OPP into how they got hold of the badge. Years later my father-in-law (retired OPP) looking at the album cover and remembered that he was in the back of a limo on the way to Maple Leaf Gardens with another OPP officer and, oh yeah, THE BEATLES and the other copper gave them the badge. Btw, he couldn't possibly be more indifferent about that whole experience.;shrug
