Since retirement, I no longer commute 194 miles (round trip) per day. I probably drive about 30 to 40 miles a week. Some weeks are even less ;)

My question is: I plan to Drive Rare to Colorado Springs in June to CruiseFest IV. Do I have an excess of Carbons or do I need to BUY some Carbon Offsets for our trip to CruiseFest???

Rare gets about 19 ~ 21 mpg on the highway and about 15 or so around town. I must admit that I usually run around 80mph on the highways, would this make my Carbon "Foot Print" more expensive to buy credits for???

Do All States have the same regulations for Carbon Off Set pricing and use??

Maybe I need to send an Email to BIG AL for clarification!!

Any ;help will be greatly appreciated ;)

Bud,
I just came by a $#!t load of Euro carbon credits when we pulled out of F3 racing however thanks to Spain's Social/Commie government unless we hire 3 unqualified workers and guarantee them automatic promotions for the next 10 years we will face a sever fine for failing to consume fossil fuel at the same rate as we did in previous years.
So every time you fill up ask for a receipt in the name of Speed-Karts and drive with a clean conscious.
Yes - it really is that screwed up when the socialist get their hands on the reigns.

This whole idea of buying carbon credits reminds me of the Catholic Church's practice in the middle ages of selling "indulgences." Essentially, the concept is the same: you're buying permission to "sin."

And it ought to speak volumes to everyone about how global warming has become the new religion for the left. Real science doesn't matter, you must accept that "the end of the world is near" on faith. And faith lies in the deed (your carbon footprint), not merely in the word. And once you've done that, whole new possibilities open up: Bud driving his Corvette up to Colorado Springs is affecting some aggrieved person in Paris, so the UN must be called upon to make Bud do penance.

Call me an aethetist on this new religion. Just drive up here and enjoy yourself, Bud, and if possible, have a few encounters with State Patrol aircraft in a few other states.

After buying that Rover and discovering how many "premium carbon credits" it takes to fill the tank, I've got a few to spare. Please feel free to "burn them up" and tell Big Al where he can stuff it. See you in the Springs this June.
