View Full Version : Header coating
The heat shields that cover the stock headers on my L98 are missing. They were not on when I got the car.
Is there anything that can be applied to the stock headers to make them look better? When I raise the hood for show and shine the headers look awfull.
Eastwood Company (http://www.eastwoodcompany.com/cgi-bin/sgdynamo.exe?HTNAME=default2.htm) has some paint for the manifolds that's supposed to work and look pretty good, but I'm afraid you're going to have to remove the manifolds to really do the job right. ;)

Ive been thinking about having them ceramic coated. What company's can do that. I will pull them and ship.
Jet-Hot (http://www.jet-hot.com/) is one source.
M&R Performance Coatings (http://www.amr-coatings.com/metallic_ceramic.html) is another.
If you can see the results HERE (http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&q=Metallic+Ceramic+Coatings+), you can do a lot of research into the theory and principle of coatings in general. ;)
