CORVETTE CHALLENGE VHS TAPES
I WAS AT THE NCM THIS WEEKEND AND PICKUP A SET OF VHS TAPE.THIS WAS THE ONLY SET LEFT THE PROBLEM IS THEY WERE MISSING TAPE #1.
SO I HAVE TAPE #2 AND 2 OF TAPE #3.
DOES ANY OUT THERE HAVE 2 TAPES OF #1 WE CAN EXCHANGE OR CAN I GET A COPY OF #1 TAPE FROM SOMEONE?

Steve, I had no idea the races were avail. on VHS
I have an old VHS recording off ESPN when the race(s) was televised - no idea though, where it is...

I have all three tapes and would be happy to make a copy for you. I have been wanting to transfer them to DVD but have just not gotten around to it yet. Any how if you want a copy just shoot me an E-Mail @ DanielMcGuffee@hotmail.com and I will get it to you as soon as I can.

I don't know? I have the program but have only copied DVD to DVD; I never really needed to move something form VHS to DVD. I will give it a shot and see what happens. If it turns out good do you what me to go ahead and burn you a copy?
Funny thing was when I bought the Challenge tapes I had forgotten I no longer had a VCR... DUH!!!

Well, I gave it a go last night and it turned out great picture quality... only thing is I can't get the sound to work.... Stay tuned

Challenge tapes
Hello --
My son Mike Kramer, who produced the ESPN shows and still has the B roll, put those three-tape sets together for a Challenge reunion at Carlisle a few years ago. He provided some to NCM to sell. You must have scored the last set. Or two thirds, anyway. I don't know if he has any complete sets left or whether he has any singles, but I'll try to find out asap.
They are excellent first-gen duplicates off the original B roll. We have been thinking about making a DVD. Maybe now's the time.

Just happened to catch wind of this thread via another thread. Depending on how any of you feel about the tapes and what not ("trust issues"), if you send me the tapes I can have them professionally put out to DVD, along with any restoration that might need to be done to the original VHS footage. Cost would be FREE. My buddy is the guy that does all the old ESPN Canada transfers for their old hockey reels. He also does other sports teams old stuff. He might even be getting business from ESPN here stateside, but I'm not sure. Anyways...let me know...
