My Corvette(s):
Default Production Numbers...

1988 saw 56 cars built, with 48 converted for racing

Supposedly in 1989, is was to be 60 cars however, 29 were actually "converted" into racing cars.

Also, 23 cars were produced under RPO R9G for 1990 - the World Challenge code. While no engines, etc. were supplied, the 1989 sealed engines could be ordered, or owners could build their own race motors.

Amazing cars for sure!

What facts do you have about these cars??

If we can get some facts/specs, I'll add a section in the Model Center

Curt Smith in South Carolina has a data base. Dave and Merideth Hmura in Illinois are also trying to stay up on what's happening with the cars. The VINs are available. Amazingly, CC cars we thought had been converted back to street cars and sold still show up. I found the car Mike Engledge drove in '88 at St. Pete in Kansas a few months back. I think an '89 sold recently in the $40s.

Ralph, I remember you being VERY active in this series with your PR duties - anything you might be able to share would be great, and much appreciated

Thanks -
