Default Paint Exhaust Pipe Tips?

All the trim on my 78 is black. I was thinking of maybe painting my exhaust tips in the high temp black paint to match everything else.

Anyone else ever do this or seen it before?

I've done it using POR-15 as the base, then spraying semi gloss black as a top coat. I also used the POR-15 to coat the inside the exhaust tip.

Looked great, and prevented rust.

My flowmasters are painted black. It was painted when I got it, 18 months ago. It is holding up very good, and I think looks good to. Gives it a finished look.

I had mine painted black initially, but liked the looks of the chrome tips better. it overall looked better on my car. (I don't think I have any worthwhile pics of the original painted black tips. Sorry!)
