Default C3 Radiator Shroud Replacement

I have an early 1976 L82 with a cracked fan shroud. I have a NOS to replace it with, but want to know what I am getting into, and how best to do it! Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
Chris

on my 73 I removed the fan blades, pulleys, and studs.
Take hood off
Loosen the lower bolts on both sides of the radiator core support (loosen not take out)
take upper 2 bolt on boths sides OUT of the core support so you can pivot the support on the bottom one on each side
that way you can pivot the core support forward to celar the aarm bolts with the shroud.....
and remember BE GENTLE!!!!!

I had the rad hoses off when I did mine, no antifreeze cause we were in the middle of the rebuilding stage

I had my engine out and still had to take out the left top a-arm mount to get the shroud in without damaging the new radiator. The engine dropped in with all of this installed with no problem. I did it all by myself even. The transmission was then bolted up to the engine from underneath. But it is a pain to get the shroud in place without damaging the radiator.
