Default How can you Tell a "Short" vs "Long" Water Pump?

Could use some of your wisdom and guidance out there !! I have an 1981 with an auto trans and the factory 350. Looks like the original water pump. I have a couple of winter projects planned with the big one being replacing the radiator. While I had things apart, I thought I would change out my water pump. My quesiton is, how can you tell a "short" from a "long" water pump ?? Thanx in advance !!

I am fairly confident you have the "short" style water pump. You can also go to the Summit Racing website or Edelbrock website to confirm for sure.
