Default question re:C1 lower windshield channel

OK guys,

Does anyone know of specs for the lower windshield channel, where I can just have one fabricated? All it is is a piece of thin metal which holds the windshield in place, and the last one I saw on eBay went for over $300.

I have every part of the windshield frame but this one, and frankly I think $300 could be much better spent somewhere else on the car. Has anyone custom-made this part or gone an alternate route?

Thanks,

Jim
