I made an effort to go last year, but there was much traffic and no parking, so I just returned home. Any tips for solving this problem and please include the best day to attend? Thanks!

Red,
I cheated last year. :eyerole My brother-in-law works at a BMW dealership nearby and so I dropped the vette off there and he drove me over in a demo and dropped me off. I went on Saturday and the show was packed, but it seemed that there was quite a bit of parkng across International Drive in the mall parking lot. Now Friday being "Black Friday", I don't know if that would work. If you do have to park too far away, you can always rent one of those neat little scooters in the show and save your energy for the walk back to the car. :L

Thanks for the info, I called the track for more details and think I will make it inside this year. Maybe Friday, I will keep an eye on the weather forecast.

I thought about that after I posted. That's when I noticed you had a '69. Let me know if you make it in. My '81 doesn't make the cut unless there's room on Sunday. I still don't have solid plans to get down there, but the folks live a few miles from the track and they always like it when we can get down for a visit, especially at a holiday.

LOL...I never thought about driving the Corvette inside, but it doesn't matter anyway. My 79 has a nice finish, but I still haven't completed the new IRS installation and underbody facelift. My 69 is also undergoing upgrades, so I took it off the road. Honestly, I spend more time working on my cars than driving them. My DD will take me to the Turkey Rod Run in Daytona and I will be parking on the track side outside parking. Maybe next year I will look into driving one of my cars in. It is more than likely they would have been put together and something taken back apart by then. When I said I would make it inside I meant me personally. Last year I drove up, but couldn't find a parking place anywhere near the track. Without getting out of my vehicle, I got back on I-95 and headed home. Your message got me thinking and after a call to the track I have a plan for this year. Thanks!

That's one of those things about written messages. If I get down there I'll PM you before I leave and swap contact numbers. How far away are you from Daytona? BTW, I'll be down there this weekend.

I've gone on friday for the last 2 or 3 years. Get there early. Park in the "industrial" area right across the street from the gate. There is a walkover that puts you at the gate. I don't even drive the vette. I get in, look at the cars, visit the vendors areas and I'm gone by about 3pm.
Coming to the track via US92 from I-95 can be a problem, so I get off the interstate just north of that and then go south on a back road to get there.
Sorry I can't think of the exit number. I know it when I see it.
:upthumbs I agre, go on Friday, get there before 9:00 A.M. and you will have no problem. Then if you are going to Bel Air plaza get there early also. TLS
It is less than a week away!! Looking forward to it. TLS

Did anyone see the yellow C3 with the rhino liner bed in the car corral? I walked for 5 hours and maybe saw half of the cars. Great show!

I didn't see the C3 with the Rhino liner, but I to walked for 5 hours and didn't see it all. I think there may have been more C3's there this year than last.
I wandered thru the vendors area for a while, not really looking for anything specific, though I saw a lot a things I would have liked to have...
Maybe next year.
I wear a pedometer and logged over 17 miles on Friday. We went to the track all day and then to the parade at 7:00 in Ormond, then to Bel Air plaza. I was wiped out. TLS
