Thought I'd toss this out here and see if anyone from the SouthEast/South/SouthWest are making any plans to attend CruiseFest IV ~ June 27th – 29th, 2007.!

If your travel plans bring through Amarillo, Texas…. Nanc & I would be happy to host a BBQ and join in with a Caravan to Colorado Springs. I will also check for Motel Accommodations if you’d like, we can provide 2 King Size beds and all the floor space anyone wants ;) ..

So if you are considering a run to the Rockies in June chime in.

I believe the following members have shown a STRONG interest in making the trip ;)

I'll be watching this one because I do intend to make the trip to Colorado Springs and CF'07. The only thing in question at the moment is my route. I have friends in Dallas that I'll probably visit on the way (or possibly on the return trip) and I absolutely MUST drive some of the old Route 66 during this trip. :cool

Bud, We will be there, just not sure the route yet. Sometime between now and next June I will Mapquest it and see the best way to get there. I have a feeling there will be a caravan coming through close to here. I am about 30 minutes east of St. Louis just off of I70 or I64 either. I have two rooms reserved in Colorado, we are bringing the gang this year. :D

Our offer to BBQ is still on the Table... if there isn't any interest we may leave a day early to help the Colorado Committee and meet and Greet the Westside Posse as they arrive :D

I am considering making the Colorado cruise in June. 20 hour drive from Alabama Gulf Coast. I am new here and will take delivery of my new convertible next week. (W/O May 25). That gives me plenty of time to break-in the new car and become re-acquainted with the best damn car ever built! If I can convince Sandra to make the trip, and can get all my pets situated, we most certainly would like to visit Amarillo and cruise the RT66 for a while. Would love to drive with others from this area. I want to get involved with some group activities, learn, and have fun!:cool

:w starvin4speed & Congrats on the New Corvette :D :upthumbs

Right now it appears that 2 from the California Posse will roll into town sometime Saturday, June 23rd.

We'll BBQ Sunday and that will be more or less just a "normal BBQ" with BLACKDOG trying out some new recipes on the Blender ;LOL I've invited a few of the nieghbors over too.

Monday afternoon, I'll be doing my "World Famous" Tri-Tip along with Hot Links, and of course more Blender Concoctions :ohnoes

Then Tuesday Morning (sometime) we'll gather up and head toward Colorado Springs.. I've mapped out that we'll head North out of Amarillo hookup with US-385 then onto US-87 over to Raton, NM where we will meet up with 2 more Corvettes, then head up I-25 to the "Springs"

The BBQ and festivities here are open to all in area, and everyone/anyone is welcome to join in anywhere along the route ;)

Sounds like a lot-o-fun. I will let you know soon. I have been trying to contact the Port City Corvette Club to join and see if any of those guys are members of CAC, so far no luck - their website is down. I would like to caravan with a few other owners if any are traveling from this area. (Mobile, AL).
