F-22 Raptors will provide strike packages of aircraft better spherical situational awareness when they pull their first Air Expeditionary Force duty in 2007.
The 27th Fighter Squadron at Langley Air Force Base, Va., will fly the first Raptors in combat.

It's an impressive machine, and won the competition for some valid reasons, but I always thought the YF-23 looked better.

The YF-23 definitely had a futuristic design to it... and a menacing profile which I like. The wings and intakes on it are cool too!
