Last month my son Ben participated in an historical event at Ft.Sill Oklahoma.
Ft.Sill is one of the most historical bases the USA has, this last month they fired off the 1,000,000th round.
Ben and his battery mates were in the right place at the right time, and were the ones who had the honor of this historical event.
He was certified last month as a Gunner and that is usually held for E-5, Ben earned it at E-4 and his drive gets stronger each day.
He and his team got to autograph the casing and it will be put in a glass case on display for the rest of time. He is kind of in the US Army's hall of fame, he will be able to show his great grand children what he did in 2006.
I will scan the news paper clip and post it here.
