Default T-Top Key

OH NO!! Wanted to take the T-Tops off this morning, it is going to be a beautiful day. However, the T-Top key broke off in the lock. Didn't take much to break it, must be from age. HELP!!! WHERE CAN I GET A REPLACEMENT KEY. THAT WAS OUR ONLY ONE.

John,

I would probably contact a local Locksmith or stop by one and see if they could get it unlocked then fab. a new key

I'm not aware of 1981's having an option for Locking T-Tops, if you can find the mfr. maybe (highly unlikely) the company is still making these and you might get Lucky and find a s/n or something to have a new key made. Me I'd just contact a local Locksmith, maybe one recommended from my insurance company

Good Luck, sorry you missed today with the tops off...

Bud

Thanks bud!! As it turns out, I took the 2 pieces to a locksmith and he was able to make a key from that. Hope that it fits, the wife has taken the vette to work so I will know later.
