I was under the impression this was a pretty good event and that last year there was quite a number of Corvettes there. Since no one in Florida has responded about maybe going to this event. I am having doubts about attending.

Has anyone here at CAC been to this event?

9th ANNUAL SILVER SPRINGS CORVETTE SHOW co sponsored by the Corvette Club of Marion County. Approximately 400 Corvettes from throughout Florida and South Georgia will gather at Silver Springs for this one day “show and shine” event presented on the concert field of the World Famous Silver Springs Attraction located at the corner of State Road 40 and County Road 35 in Silver Springs, Florida. Early Registration Fee (by 10-28-06) $25.00 per car (includes two people in a car) Registration Fee after 10-28-06 $30.00 per car (includes two people in a car). Additional admissions with car registration: Each car registration includes two tickets to Silver Springs for the day of the show. Additional tickets are $15.00 per adult and and $10.00 per children (3-10). Registration time 8 AM -9:30 AM. No cars admitted into the park after 10 AM. Time is getting near. The Jacksonville Corvette club is meeting at 7:00 AM sharp at highway 17, (also known as Roosevelt Blvd in Jacksonville), [Park Street in Orange Park], across from the Orange Park Greyhound dog track. Even if not a member, but would like to caravan down with us to Silver Springs, then be there at 7:00 AM sharp for departure.

I guess I am becoming a die hard plugger, as no one else has posted any comments in this thread.

This was a great event with at least 400 Corvettes. The Marion County Corvette Club is to be commended for a putting on a great event.

Just some of the attendees. The portion of the Corvette in the lower part of this picture, I believe it is a 1961 and also a Jacksonville Corvette Club member won the "People's Choice," award. Our club won the plague for most attendees from another club, we had 27 Corvette's there. Yes! This is a pat on the back here for the club.
