Default Brake Rotor Installation Question

I just received my Dura Stop drilled and slotted rotors and have two questions about installation...

1. The L and R on the brakes indicate the sides...does L correspond to driver and R correspond to passenger? And, I do need to take the L/R indicators off before installaton, right?

2. Do I need to paint the unswept part of the rotors to keep them from rusting or is it a problem with the Dura stops? I know the stock rotors on my car are painted dark gray.

I guess that's 3 questions!

Thanks,
Randy

Default

L is drivers side
R is passengers side

I've never needed to paint the rotors though many do for cosmetic reasons.
