When can we expect to see direct injection take over?
Engines seem to all be gaining about 20-30 horsepower from it, plus better gas mileage and emissions. With gas prices the way they are, car companies really seem to be getting into this quickly, since it is a win-win situation.
My thing is, can we expect to see a DI LS2 soon? I really don't know the mechanics behind it, if it limits anything, etc.
I just feel like if I were to buy a car in the next couple of years, would I be missing the direct injection revolution? It seems like something worth waiting for.
