Default L79 holley 4150 carb

I believe the correct carb for the L79 is 600 cfm. If so, what's the impact of using a 650 cfm? Thanks -- Bill

I can't see that there would be any effect, either positive or negative. The Quadrajets used on small block (350cid) engines in the C3 generation were 750cfm.

Tne correct CFM for an original L79 is 580, Holley repalcements are 600 CFM, the extra 50 CFM on a good running motor will have a good effect.

If the only difference is the CFM rating and not single vs dual squirter or jets or manual vs auto choke the impact would be drivebility impact would be none.
