My Corvette(s):
Default What Tape for "Drain Wires"?

Continuing my Bose saga, I am wondering what type of tape is used to wrap the so-called "drain wires" that are a part of the Bose wiring harness. I think it is some sort of aluminum/mylar tape, but does anyone know the correct name?

HI there,
This is what we use here in the dealership.
1229335 and it is a nickel composition.
Its expensive but it is engineered specifically to shield EMI and RFI from other components.
There was a bulletin on this issued back in 1994 on this.
