Default Removable rear window for a '73???

So can I "convert" my rear window to make it removable like the years before mine?
Is there a kit? We saw one with the window out on the road and really liked the open look....anyone here ever convert or try this idea yet?
TIA... Chas

It can be done, but I am not aware of any kits. Just need to pick up all the parts at swapmeets and bolt them in.

Yup
The best way is to get all the parts from the same car, try Ebay or just wait until someone posts they are parting out a 72 or earlier. With as much aftermarket stuff for Vettes its supprizing no one has came up with a "kit"

It is a slow weekends work to do the job and their used to be a thread with the instructions on it.

I helped a neighbor do this on his 73. He had a donor to get all of the parts from and we even used a Sawz All to remove the hardware. Then, he ordered a new gasket for the window and we had it installed in about three hours. The car was in primer so it was easy to do. Measure three times before you start installing the latching mechanism. Take photos from the donor car - lots of photos of everything that is original to the other car so you can reference it when you start glassing in the brackets.

easy to do. Can do it in a Saturday. Got my parts from ebay. Took a couple months to get all the parts. There are several post over at another corvette forum about the parts and the installation. I have installed a removable rear window in the 2 '73's that I have owned.

Can it be done on a newer C-3, say like a 76?
